Day 16 of getting rejections - asking for help with emails

Someone just got hired from my job board! This is really awesome but it was a free post so I didn't get paid. Obviously, I wanted to talk to the company who hired the developer.

I was about to hit send on an email I had put together quickly when I realised something: I know a lot of employers who can maybe help me if I ask. So I put out a tweet with a Google doc showing the draft email I had come up with. Thankfully a few people lept at the chance to help and gave me pointers on the sort of things to mention that would lead them to respond to someone.

There are always loads of experts on hand in niche areas so it makes sense to ask them for advice. I'll be doing more of this in future!
